Ikan Acar Kuning

I used two kinds of fish: Dorade and Tilapia Fillet (Ikan Nila). My oldest son prefer to eat fish without bones than the whole fish. Eni, Thanks for sharing the recipe.

Ingredients;
2 (500-600 g) Tilapia/Dorade fish, fried ( I baked it in the oven instead)
3 bay leaves
1 stalk lemon grass, bruised
10 small green chillies
2 red chillies, sliced
1 tomato, sliced
1/2 teaspoon vinegar (substituted with 1-2 tbsp tamarind juice)
1/2 teaspoon sugar
100 ml water
100 ml coconut milk
3 tbsp cooking oil

Spices to grind:
2 cm ginger
3 candle nuts
1/2 teaspoon pepper
4 cloves garlic
8 shallots
3 cm fresh turmeric

  1. It depends on my mood of the fish selection :P
When I have more time and not so lazy, I don't mind eating fish with bones. Somehow, I find these are more tasty :P
