Thank You

When I sent this picture of Fruit Cake with Sour Cream as my entry (category: Baking and Photography) to celebrate KBB´s first Anniversary , I didn´t think that I´ll win the contest until Arfi, founder of KBB (Indonesian Baking Club), announced the winners of KBB Contest in KBB-mailinglist. What a surprise for me !

I would like to thank you to all of judges and also many thanks to mbak Arfi of homemades and Regina who sent me wonderful and useful gifts. Thanks a lot!

Tofu Omelette

When I ´ve just came home and my kids are starving, I need to do something in a hurry. Tofu Omelette could be a good choice to cook that can save my energy :). My entry for Original recipe-monthly event arranged by Lore-Culinarty.

KBB#6:Cheese Biscuits

KBB (Indonesian Baking Club) challenge this month is quite simple and easy to make. The recipe looks like Kaastengels/Cheese shortbread cookies.

Studio-Studioan

The topic of Home Food Photography#3, hosted by Dita, is very interesting: ´Studio´. Of course, not a real studio.
I like to use nature light for most of my food pictures. Windows are my favourite places. Fortunately, all of rooms in my house have windows. Sometimes, I have to bring my stuffs in my ´nature studio´. The rest of story, I´m going to write in Bahasa Indonesia :)

Kalau cuaca mendung paling nggak suka motret, rasanya lebih sreg klo pake sinar alami. Kadang-kadang makanan berikut perangkatnya tak gotong-gotong ke halaman, sambil liat sikon, tetangga di sebrang lagi pada duduk-duduk di luar nggak ya....bukan apa-apa sih bisi kabita/kepengen he..he ^_^

I was confused..which one as a star donut or Lily ?

Jendela ruang tamu yang menghadap ke halaman, merupakan tempat favouriteku apalagi kalo Lavendernya sedang berbunga, ini juga motretnya klo lagi pas spring atau summer begini rada aman dari lirikan pejalan kaki yang lewat karena ada pager tanamannya. Naaa...klo lagi musim gugur niy, pagernya semwrawang gitu lho alias keliatan, berhubung pager tanamanku ini bukan jenis yang "immer grün"/yg selalu hijau nggak terganggu pergantian musim, klo sudah begini yah cari sasaran studio jendela di ruang atau kamar lainnya deh !.


Paling seneng berkarya diwaktu anak-anak sekolah, karena nggak direcokin sama mereka....mama...dah belon?...udah boleh dimakan nggak?. Lama-lama mereka ngerti, kalo mau nyomot pada nanya dulu "mama..ini dah dipotret blon?"

Kalo mau motret makanan niy, berikut temen-temen pemanisnya, kayak bunga (cukup metik dari yang ada di halaman aja), kadang nyeduh kopi atau teh dulu, melewati proses gotong-gotong beberapa kali, kadang keruang tamu, keruang tidur kamarnya si dedek, kadang sembari ganti-ganti wadahnya sampe dapet yang cocok dan dapet foto yang pas menurut seleraku :)

Jadi, Home food photography ini paling tidak merupakan hasil karya, yang melewati proses masak memasak, tidak cukup hanya sekali jepretan, hasil kreativitas yang memerlukan waktu dan tenaga (wira-wiri turun tangga, keluar masuk ruangan sembari gotong-gotong perabot, makanan, menata ulang dlsb, dst)....soooo...please don´t steal our pictures, ask first!

Pancake with Pineapple Jam

My kids´quick breakfast is almost similar everyday such us toast bread with salami or jam, sometimes with cream cheese, sliced tomatoes and sliced cucumber, scrumbled eggs. For weekend: Fried rice and instant noodles :). Inspired by Elsye, I think .....why don´t make something different for breakfast. I decided to make pancakes as my entry for breakfast recipe remix event hosted by Robin & Daniele.

Putting Up: Pineapple Jam

Pixie You say Tomahto, I say tomayto and Rosie bakes a ´Peace´ of Cake arranged a preserved event called Putting Up. Though I don´t have many experiences to make preserves, I really like to participate this event.Traditionally, fruit preserves are made from fruit combined with sugar and the use of pectin. Pineapple contains only little pectin, but I don´t add more pectin. Just made it in a simple way.
