Nastar
Nastar, one of my kids favourite cookies, is filled with pineapple jam. It doesn´t look good enough, but the taste is really good. Next time, I´ll make it in a better form ^_^
Ingredients:
125 g butter
125 g margarine"Blue Band"
50 g icing sugar
3 egg yolks
400 g all purpose flour1 egg yolk extra for garnish
filling: Homemade pineapple jam
2 pineapples, cut in chunks
1/2 teaspoon salt
12 tablespoons castor sugar
1 stick cinnamon
1 sachet vanille sugar
methods:
blend the pineapple chunks in an electric blender. Sift to drain off excess juice. Cook pineapple, sugar, cinnamon stick, vanille sugar, salt in a sauce pan over medium heat and let them simmer. Stir until the mixture dry and thick.
Beat in eggs yolk, icing sugar, margarine and butter with a high speed mixer for about 2 minutes. Fold in flour. Roll the dough and fill with pineapple jam. Place on grease baking trays then paint the top of cookies with egg yolk. Bake in preheat oven at 180°C for about 20 minutes.

This looks amazing! I've never had something similar and would certainly like to try my hand at it.

Nastar! I made them a long time ago and they were amazing! Now I really have to make them again!
This name Nastar is new to me. Are they pineapple-tarts (just that the filling is inside) ?

that looks crumbly- melt in your mouth type. The name is also unfamiliar to me but hey, good food has no boundaries.
Sounds so flaky and sweet and you can just pop one in your mouth! :) Makes me wish CNY is here as that when I make them.
I love nastar, yumm. I can eat your picture :)

Met lebaran ya Retno...minggu depan kan? nggak apa deh duluan yaa

Mbak Retno, aku penggemar nastar
gak bakalan keberatan kalo dikasih setoples *ngelunjak*
Mbak, rajin banget sih bikin selai nanas sendiri.. susah gak sih Mbak?
This is similar to our pineapple tarts for CNY. Irresistable! Not sure what happen, normally I won't make it because it's a lot of work. Only during CNY that I become hardworking and make this a few times. Weird right?
The foto looks amazing (not to mention the taste of your cookies! I've tried them at your house in Bandung long time ago). It looks that not only you're good at cooking but also at photography..
"Saya baru kali ini nyobain bikin nastar. Yg males buat selainya. Kalo beli selai nanas yg di botol bisa nggak, mbak?"
Retno, we wish you and family have a wonderful Eid Mubarak.
Looks lovely. Nastar is my fav kueh. Did u make them for Lebaran?
Sefa: Klo nastar favoritnya anak2 jadi cepet banget abisnya ^_^. Gampang koq sef bikin selainya.
little corner of mine: Yes, it´s a lot of work, time consuming.
Dewi: Iya nih det jadi inget lebaran sama2 di Bandung. Bikin selai sendiri lebih enak lho, tanpa pengawet :)
Dwiana: Thanks
Puspha: Yupps, I made it for Lebaran.
Hey this is good looking for me.
With pineapple filling it has to be delicious. I am going to try this once.
