Pepes Tahu Jamur/Steamed Tofu with Mushroom

pepes tahu& jamur

Ira, thank you for sharing the recipe. My family loves it ^^



ingredients:
300 g tofu, mashed
250 g mushroom, cut and saute
kemangi leaves
2 eggs
3 lime leaves, finely cut
2 tablespoon coconut powder
1 teaspoon sugar, salt
3 tablespoon cooking oil or olive oil for cooking
banana leaves

spices to grind: 1 cm turmeric, 2 cm lesser galangal (kencur), 4 clove garlics, 3 candle nuts, 2 red chillies.

directions: saute spice paste with olive oil or cooking oil until fragrant. Mix spice paste with mashed tofu and other ingredients. Roll mashed tofu with banana leaves, then steam for about 30 minutes. Instead of steam it, I grill the tofu in the oven.

This looks like "otak-otak" we called in Malaysia but we used fish and different spices. Looks divine!
