If you don´t like lamb  you can use chicken too

2 cm cinnamon (kayu manis)
2 bay leaves (daun salam)
1/2 teaspoon white pepper powder (merica bubuk)
a pinch of grated nutmeg or nutmeg powder (pala)
1/2 teaspoon turmeric powder (kunyit bubuk)
olive oil
salt to taste

spices to grind:
6 cardamoms (kapulaga)
4 cloves (cengkeh)
1 tablespoon coriander (ketumbar)
1/3 teaspoon cumin/caraway seeds (jinten)
 6 cloves of garlic
1 onion (bawang bombay)

directions: in a Wok,  saute spice paste with olive oil until fragrant. Add coconut milk,  turmeric powder, pepper, nutmeg powder, bay leaves,  cinnamon, salt then basmati rice. Add more water about 100 ml if necessary. Stirring gently until coconut milk/water absorbed by rice. Steam the rice. Serve with grilled lamb, salad and grilled green chillies.
