My blog 1 Year Old & Chocolate Cupcakes
Today, my blog is one year old. Still a baby, isn´t it?. Until now, I´ve been collected more than one hundred recipes, not bad. Here is my first posting. So, I would like to thank you: all my friends who leave me comments, support, share recipes, stopping by my site. Inspired by Hany von Gillern, I made cupcakes decorated with marzipan mini roses. Actually, I´m not a big fan of marzipan, but I couldn´t found fondant in nearby supermarkets.
Marzipan is a confection consisting primarily of sugar and ground almond (source: Wikipedia)
Ingredients:
Makes 21 cupcakes
4 eggs
1 tsp emulsifier TBM
75 g castor sugar
100 g all purpose flour
15 g (3 teaspoons) chocolate powder
1 tablespoon maizena/corn flour
directions: put eggs, sugar and emulsifier into a bowl of electric mixer, beat on high speed until mixture is thick and creamy. Sift dry ingredients so that all ingredients are thoroughly combined, with spatula or with a low speed mixer. Pour mixture into muffins baking pan. Bake for about 20 minutes at 180°C.

Sama, aku juga gak suka marzipan. Makanya aku suka bikin fondant sendiri. Fondant ada yg jual di supermarket ya, Mbak? Aku cari nggak pernah ketemu.
sheila: Makasih ya. Di Hamburg aku juga belum nemu yang jual fondant dimana, klo ke supermarket di deretan bahan kue adanya ya cuman marzipan itu.
waduhhh rame bikin cupcake.. mbak Retno sekedar info kl di toko2 jerman ada cabangnya Wilton itu suka dijual. Disini dijual di Michaels yang punya satu aisle isinya produk2 Wilton

bikin fondant pk marshmalow (yg halal) jg bs teksturnya lebih lentur n ga mudah kering kek rolled fondant.

Aku juga belom pernah nemuin fondant di supermarket, Mbak. Kalo di internet banyak yang jual. Aku suka belanja alat2 kue di http://backfun.de Barang2 Wilton juga banyak di sana :)
Kalo fondant, aku pakai Marshmallow fondant. Cara bikinnya aku contek dari CakeCentral.com Tapi waktu aku cek, websitenya lagi perbaikan.

Dah nyoba bikin pake marzipan ya Ret. kenapa gak bikin sendiri aja sih Ret fondantnya. Aku pernah lihat di toko di sini marzipan siap pake, tapi aku kurang familiar dengan marzipan, kayaknya tersturnya lebih halus fondant ya Ret?

Hany von gillern: bikin fondant sendiri belum pernah..lha wong belum bisa, musti surfing cari tau caranya dulu gimana :)). Tekstur marzipan memang jadi kurang halus karena pake almond.

Mbak nyoba bikin sendiri fondant dr putih telur, icing sugar, sama glucose syrup. Pasti bisa deh...

Miming: Makasih ya. Aku liat beberapa resep fondant ada juga yang nggak pake putih telur ya. Kadang agak ragu kalau harus pakai putih telur mentah.
