 Just simple snacks to accompany our afternoon tea. When I was in Bandung, West Java, I used to buy Odading from a travelling vendor. Here, I get sudden  craving for this snacks and  have to make it by my self ^_^.  I added some sliced bananas into batters.

My dear friend, mbak Dewi Kuraesin, brought this grilled Tilapia when we had an Indonesian gathering. It´s so spicy and delicious. Today, I tried her recipe by my own.  The fresh Tofu that I bought was so fragile and smooth. When I came home, it became smashed tofu. On the way home, something could happen with tofu, coz I need at least 1 hour from Asia Store. The problem, I was craving for Fried tofu with beef fillings. So, I grinded the tofu and mixed with stir fry ground beef, added some eggs to make them firm before steamed.

This steamed bun or Bakpao can be filled with meat or vegetarian fillings.  I found  special bun flour in Asia Store and thought to try with mung beans paste as fillings. The fruit looks exactly like normal banana but longer, larger and often cooked before eaten.  It´s highly nutritious, good source of potassium, vit A, C and energy booster. Use plantains with yellow or black skin. In this stage, it would become ripe. Plantain is cooked in various ways ( boiled, fried etc), served as a side dish, snacks or as a dessert.

Today, I made a Sour Cherry, the only jam still left in my fridge, Cheese Cake instead of Blueberry with a little bit modification. No need to bake in the oven, let the refrigerator do it.  When I saw Shepherd´s Pie at Stevita´s Kitchen, I thougt my kids´d like it. I´d rather call that Potato Pie, it´s called "Pastel Tutup" in Indonesian. Whatever the name is, its taste so good. Instead of making homemade mashed potato, I´ve used Kartoffel Püree/mashed potato powder. My oldest son has told me that Pie becomes one of his favourite food. No wonder, nothing left for me!. Ohh..you have succeed to make  me so guilty during  a week before I´ve done it. I just wonder one who creates this kind of tasks.
